About The Book

Description

Laramie

Lucky Laramie Larson. I hate that nickname. I’m not lucky; I’m talented. And I’m not about to let a little thing like a torn rotator cuff keep me from my dream. It’s delayed, not gone. Or that’s what I tell myself as I work to get back into racing shape. I don’t have time for distractions, certainly not one like pretty city boy War Phillips.

One night of fun. No strings. That’s all it can be. So why do I regret sneaking out the next morning? And why does my heart jump when I run into War months later in the last place I expect?

War

My picture-perfect life is unraveling around me. The last thing I expect or need is Laramie Larson. I’m looking to build a family and a future; she’s set on chasing wild horses across the country. Still, I can’t resist her. Waking up alone the morning after the best night of my life is a new low, but it’s for the best. With Laramie gone, I can focus on making amends.

Running into her months later? Not on my bingo card. She’s just as irresistible now as she was then, but her reckless ways burned me once. So why is my heart screaming that even though she might be trouble, she’s also mine?

My Review

My Ranking: ★★★

I really enjoyed this novella! Wild Horses tells the story of a couple from two very different worlds—one rooted in the business world and the other in the fast-paced life of a barrel racer on the rodeo circuit. Despite its shorter length, the story felt well-developed, almost like a full-length novel. The characters were likable, and the setting brought back fond memories of my childhood, when I used to ride my neighbor’s horses around the local rodeo. Overall, this was an enjoyable read, perfect for fans of western romance.
